LCLTFB and Cancer Control

Many institutional members of The Louisiana Cancer and Lung Trust Fund Board, particularly those based in New Orleans and the southern parishes of Louisiana, suffered incredible loss of material property and physical resources. One thing the Board did not lose, either as a legislatively mandated Board or as individual participants of the cancer control community, is a firm commitment to its mission:

to reduce the risk, incidence, morbidity, mortality and economic impact of cancer on the residents of the State of Louisiana.

With the changing demographic landscape of the state comes a changing strategy for implementing this mission. The work of the Louisiana Cancer Control Partnership, strongly supported by the Louisiana Cancer and Lung Trust Fund Board, continues to implement vital parts of its Cancer Control Plan.
